What is The Scholarly Thinking Foundation? At Scholarly Thinking we are committed to providing FREE basic school supplies to Texas students in (Dallas, Collin, Ellis and Tarrant county school districts) from all backgrounds regardless of income status. We provide students and teachers with the basic supplies they will need for their grade level, shipped directly to a verified home or school address. How do I request free school supplies for my child/children? To receive a free Scholar Supply Kit for your child, parents must register online and pay the $2.95 verification fee using a debit or credit card. Once you become a member, you can order supply kits two times a year - January through June for the first request and July through December for the second request.

How many Scholar Kits can I request? One kit allowed per child (ages 17 and under or grades PK-12), up to two times a year. You may request up to 4 boxes per household for children enrolled in a public school. College students, 18 and over may register online and order their supply kit separately. The verification fee will apply with each order request.

How will I receive my order? Scholar Supply Kits are shipped free from our location up to 48 hours after your online request has been placed. 

How do I register? Parents, teachers and college students can easily register online to request free school supply kits by clicking the join link at the top of each page.

How much does it cost?  For verification purposes, a fee of $2.95 per supply kit is required when you register and request school supplies. There is no other fee for registration, shipping, handling, or processing.

Why is my credit or debit card needed?  A credit or debit card is required for the non-refundable verification $2.95 fee to confirm your address and identity. This small fee helps Scholarly Thinking ship items free and provide supplies to as many school age students as possible. 


How can I donate?Are donations tax-deductible? We accept in-kind and monetary donations. What is the Corporate Partner Program?  The Scholarly Thinking Foundation welcomes corporate contributions of in-kind and sponsorship donations.For more information, please view our Partner Page.

How are donated funds used?  In-kind donations are distributed directed to students in need and never sold for profit. More than 85% of our resources support our free school supplies program. Less than 10% are used for administration and overhead.


What is your privacy policy?  This policy covers how we use your personal information. We take your privacy seriously and will take all measures to protect your personal information.
